About The Position

The Nurse Assistant in the Mother Baby Care Unit provides essential care to postpartum patients and newborns under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This part-time role involves safe patient transport, documentation of care, and performing general clerical duties to ensure efficient unit operations. The position requires flexibility to work night shifts and includes a sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients according to the plan of care and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and document services appropriately.
• Act as an Observer for patients requiring constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring.
• Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record.
