About The Position

NURSE ASSISTANT (CNA) INSTRUCTOR CE/VOC: Adjunct / Substitute Instructor POOL (non-credit)

Requirements

• Any Bachelor’s degree AND two (2) years of experience; OR,
• Any Associate degree AND six (6) years of experience; OR,
• Possession of a full-time, clear California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in Health Occupations; OR,
• The equivalent; AND
• Possession of a current and valid California Registered Nurse license or Licensed Vocational Nurse license; AND
• Two years of nursing experience, at least one of which as a licensed nurse providing care and services to chronically ill or elderly patients in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, home care, hospice care, or other long-term care setting; AND
• One (1) year of experience planning, implementing and evaluating education programs in nursing OR
• Completion of, or ability to complete, the following prior to beginning instructional assignment: 24 hours of BRN approved or accredited educational institution course continuing education in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in nursing within six months of employment.
