About The Position

Performs designated basic patient care and related nursing tasks to provide optimal/quality care consistent with Hospital mission and Nursing philosophy, goals, standards, and bylaws. Assists the Licensed Nurse in the implementation of nursing care in predictable, uncomplicated, and stable patient situations as directed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED General Studies Required and successful completion of a applicable state Board of Nursing Aide 1 with plus 4 skills approved training program. Approved training program/competency evaluation required.
  • Nurse Aide I Registration Division of Facility Services Nurse Aide I Registry. Required
  • BLS Course C, CPR Certification required per policy guidelinesunless meets the requirements for restricted CPR certification.
  • Successful completion of General Hospital Orientation and demonstration of competency in the Nursing Assistant functions as determined by LOE staff (Learning and Organizational Effectiveness) staff and Registered Nurse staff.
  • Acquires/Maintains NA 1 plus 4 skills upon hire
  • Ability to hear and speak, and comprehend English language required.
  • Ability to understand verbal/written communication skills required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
