About The Position

The CRNA cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management. We offer flexible schedules, excellent pay and competitive benefits. Our CRNAs cover 133 anesthetizing locations across Huntsville Hospital Health System. Opportunities available in pediatrics, obstetrics, orthopedics, cardiovascular care and more. Option to rotate throughout affiliate facilities, with shift options available at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children, Decatur Morgan Hospital, Athens-Limestone Hospital, Athens-Limestone Surgery Center, Madison Hospital and Madison Hospital Outpatient Endoscopy.

Requirements

  • Current active state licensure as a registered nurse in Alabama or a compact state RN License.
  • Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
  • Current certification or recertification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Demonstrated competency in clinical responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS, BLS, PALS certification from American Heart Association.
  • Ability to operate and interpret data from anesthesia equipment.
  • Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care for patients across various settings and acuity levels.
  • Participate in surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management procedures.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and other disciplines to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records and adhere to facility policies and procedures.
