About The Position

The staff Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) administers anesthesia to any patient undergoing a surgical procedure, as designated by the attending physician. The CRNA is responsible to the Chairman and the Chief Anesthetist for the Department of Anesthesia. Assignments are performed based on the age and developmental level of patients being served. May assist in evaluation of students.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • PALS certification.
  • Less than one year Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist experience.

Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Report to the Chairman and Chief Anesthetist for the Department of Anesthesia.
  • Perform assignments based on the age and developmental level of patients.
  • Assist in the evaluation of students.
