About The Position

The Nurse Aide Program RN Instructor teaches The Training and Education Fund’s Nurse Aide Training Center (NATC) state-approved curriculum and serves as an advisor and mentor to students.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records on all students, including all state required assessments and attendance records.
  • Deliver approved curriculum to enhance knowledge and clinical skills aimed at assisting students with passing the state nurse aide examinations.
  • Develop clinical rotation schedule/resident caseload in conjunction with clinical site.
  • Supervise, train, and support students during clinical rotations.
  • Evaluate student clinical progress daily, utilizing approved assessment tools (procedure evaluation sheets, anecdotal notes, clinical evaluation sheets, quizzes, examinations, attendance records, etc.).
  • Provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation, interpersonal skills development, and safe and effective resident care and provide student remedial assistance as needed.
  • Communicate timely and effectively with students, peers, and clinical site team members.
  • Inventory equipment; inform the Coordinator of any needed program equipment or supplies.
  • Attend and participate in the TEF NATC related meetings, as needed, in order to collaborate, align instruction, monitor student progress, and continually improve TEF’s NATC program.
  • Assist with the NATC audit by providing required student, curriculum, attendance and assessment information.
  • Promote the mission of The Training and Education Fund NATC in a positive manner with all staff, participants, and partners, and provide a consistent exchange of information in a transparent and collaborative environment.
