About The Position

Community College of Denver is seeking individuals with demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive learning and work environment. CCD values the ability to work effectively with students, families, faculty, instructors, and staff of diverse backgrounds. The position involves teaching didactic and clinical courses as needed in the Nurse Aide program, mentoring and supporting students in their learning, working in the skills lab to support the application of knowledge, providing clinical instruction, and completing student evaluations (final grades by due dates). The instructor will also respond to requests made by the program director, work collegially and professionally with others on staff, complete other duties as assigned, and provide an outstanding role model for students.

Requirements

  • Active unencumbered RN or LPN nursing license in the State of Colorado
  • Two years of nursing experience, including 4000 hours of Professional Nursing clinical experience within the last 5 years
  • At least one year of experience in a long-term care facility caring for the elderly and/or chronically ill

Responsibilities
