About The Position

Responsible for overseeing the care of a defined patient population as a dominant aspect of the role and is recognized as an interdisciplinary leader within his/her specialty. Responsible for enacting standards of practice and standards of professional performance, consistently demonstrates the core competencies of advanced practice nursing as well as defined specially competencies.

Requirements

• Work requires knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a master's degree in nursing and three to five years of previous work-related experience.
• Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey.
• Lifting objects weighting more than 100 pounds.
• Standing for more than two hours at a time.
• Stooping or bending
• Manual dexterity - reach and grasp objects
• Color vision - the ability to identify and distinguish colors
• Ability to hear and communicate orally
• Proofreading and checking documents for accuracy
• Using a keyboard to enter and transform words or data
• Using a video display terminal to receive or audit information or data
• Certification required as an Advanced Practice Nurse by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• Successful completion of department specific orientation and department specific certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) within 1 year of hire.
