Northrop Grumman, Strategic Space Systems Division, has an opening for a Nurse 3 to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of additional education and/or related experience.
  • Current AED and CPR certifications.
  • Registered Nurse with the State Board of Nursing.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science Degree.
  • Registered nurse with 5 years of nursing experience.
  • Certified in audio and spirometer testing.
  • Experience with Cal/OSHA reporting and assessment standards.
  • Occupational Health nursing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational health nursing services to employees or persons who become ill or suffer a work related or non-work related injury.
  • Perform case management for work related and non-work related injuries and illnesses collaborating with Environmental, Health and Safety.
  • Attend to subsequent dressings of injuries; maintain records of persons treated.
  • Administer company policy in regards to Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace-coordinating drug/alcohol testing (post incident and for cause).
  • Administer required immunizations and vaccinations.
  • Assist with OSHA required medical surveillance exams (audiometric, respiratory, vision and urine collection).
  • Screen employees for return to work clearance collaborating with the leave of absence desk.
  • Prepare reports and assist with development of medical procedures and/or protocols.
  • Support Corporate Health & Wellness Programs (blood drives, health fair and flu shots).
  • Provide health education information; dispense standard drugs and medicines such as aspirin and cough or cold tablets; refer contagious diseases or serious injuries to company or employee's physician and may assist company doctor.
  • Assist with medical equipment and supplies are maintained, sanitized and ready for use at all times.
