About The Position
The position involves providing medical care ranging from minor incidents to acting as a first responder. The role supports and assists the Safety Manager in coordinating and managing health services, maintaining workers compensation information for claims, and helping schedule doctor visits and transportation. Additionally, the position requires coordination and performance of pre-employment physicals and drug testing, as well as the development and implementation of employee health and wellness programs such as health assessments, immunization programs, medical care, wellness education, and counseling. The role also includes maintaining an active and positive ongoing relationship with the local occupational health clinic and managing various health programs including hearing conservation, heat stress, respiratory protection, and ergonomics, which involves the development and delivery of employee training. Other relevant duties may be assigned as necessary.
