The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization, Vertical Lift Division is seeking an Associate Numerical Control Programmer to join the NC Programming team in Mesa, Arizona. NC Programming is part of a larger Production Engineering organization which creates a wide variety of products and services for the Defense/Space, Government Services and Commercial Aircraft business units. Production Engineering supports the Fabrication, Assembly and Test of the Apache Attack Helicopter as well as a variety of Fighters, Bombers, Transport, Airborne Early Warning, Maritime Patrol, Autonomous and Proprietary Aircraft programs. This NC Programmer will be a part of the high-performing Metallics and Composites Centers of Excellence (COE) in Mesa, AZ. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to provide numerical control, machining, and programming technical expertise on various machine assets within the fabrication center. Our team plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a wide spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies. NC Programming also develops and integrates new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, and software.

  • Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical expertise.
  • Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
  • Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a wide spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies.
  • Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.
  • Works under general direction.
  • 1+ years or more of experience with Numerical Control Programming utilizing Unigraphics NX and Vericut.
  • Level 2 (Associate): 1+ years of work-related experience with an Associate's degree OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
  • Relevant programming experience utilizing Unigraphics NX, Vericut, CATIA, PC-DMIS and/or CAPPS NC within a CNC machining environment.
  • Relevant experience with machine tooling, metrology, and Composite and/or Metallic fabrication/producibility.
