Emergent Operations in Charleston, SC, a Fabrication Division of Boeing Commercial Airplanes -South Carolina is seeking a Associate; Mid-Level or Senior Numerical Control Programmer to support the Emergent Operations team. This role will require individuals that are capable of adapting to a dynamic team with critical deliverables and urgent factory support. They will need to have the ability to collaborate with others while keeping a "think outside the box" mindset. teammate will be expected to interface with global partners and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 or more years NC programming experience
  • 2 or more years 5 Axis Machining
  • Proficient in CATIA V5 Programming
  • Proficient in Vericut
  • Experience interpreting GD&T and can apply the concepts for programming.

Nice To Haves

  • Computing knowledge basic operation, Microsoft office product.
  • Candidate has an aptitude for abstract reasoning.
  • Ability to collaborate with both the engineering work force and the mechanics on the factory floor.
  • Familiar with Velocity and CMES environment.
  • The ability to interpret data and make recommendations for possible solutions

Responsibilities

  • Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience.
  • Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
  • Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies for departmental work.
  • Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.
  • Works under general direction.
