You will be the Numerical Control Programmer Senior for the Computer Aided Inspection (CAI) Group. Our team is responsible for supporting a rapidly growing shop by developing and implementing efficient CAI processes on various types of equipment. What You Will Be Doing As the Numerical Control Programmer Senior you will be responsible for creating programs for computer‑controlled equipment and collaborating with a team to support shop floor operations. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Create programs for computer‑controlled machines using engineering drawings and models. Analyze drawings to select machines, machining strategies, probes, and develop work‑holding concepts. Support the shop floor by troubleshooting issues and providing time estimates for new parts.   • Create programs for computer‑controlled machines using engineering drawings and models.
  • Analyze drawings to select machines, machining strategies, probes, and develop work‑holding concepts.
  • Support the shop floor by troubleshooting issues and providing time estimates for new parts.
  • Research, test, and implement new inspection technology to improve processes.
  • High School Degree or higher
  • CMM programming experience using a Zeiss Calypso package
  • Proven process improvement and problem solving experience
  • Knowledge of inspection practices
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

  • The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Experience programming Zeiss CMM’s using Calypso software
  • Experience with Zeiss Inspect for CT scanning or Structured Light Scanning is a plus
  • Ability to design fixturing / work holding solutions
  • Experience evaluating new designs and working with engineering to improve part inspectability
  • Experience leading the development and implementation of new processes
  • Candidate should have a combination of experience and education equivalent to one of the following: o 5 years machining programming experience plus bachelor’s degree o 7 years machining programming experience plus associates degree o 9 years machining programming experience
