You will help establish transportation policies and procedures. Additionally, you will provide direction to transport and non-transport personnel to effectively execute the functions and activities of the department. Plan, organize and control shipments of radioactive and non-radioactive, nuclear related products to and from several licensed consignees, including customer reactor sites and other Westinghouse locations.   You will report to the US Transport & Logistics Senior Manager and be located at Columbia, SC. You will support this role 100% onsite.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5 years in a regulated, global transportation and logistics function - preferred 2+ years of experience shipping / transporting hazardous materials
  • Experience of transportation principles and understanding of U.S. Import/Export regulations.
  • Subject matter expertise in Class 7 – Radioactive Materials Transportation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct and implement the physical movement of shipments and prepare all legally required documentation
  • Implement transportation plans through analysis of conditions for delivery, regulatory requirements, alternative transportation options, and cost
  • Manage appropriate metrics for U.S. Transport Operations. Provide periodic reporting of shipments and deliveries, project milestones, and supplier performance
  • Communicate with Customers, Suppliers, Trade Compliance, Plant personnel and other individuals, both internal and external
  • Perform responsibilities in compliance with federal, state, local and site-specific regulations and agreements. Support audit preparation and compliance
  • Write and revise procedures to ensure consistency with all safety, regulatory compliance and site work requirements
