About The Position

Moffitt Cancer Center's Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiology invites applications for a faculty appointment in the Nuclear Medicine Department. Our preferred candidate is an academically accomplished nuclear radiologist/nuclear medicine physician for a position in our large and growing section which includes both diagnostic and therapeutic responsibilities. Moffitt's Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiology currently includes 60 clinical faculty members. The department operates 11 CT, 14 MRI, 5 PET/CT, 4 SPECT/CT, 5 gamma cameras, along with a robust radionuclide therapy program. Faculty members from the section participate in 17 disease-focused multidisciplinary clinical conferences each week. We are a hybrid academic practice affiliated with the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine with university academic appointments available. A large number of research and teaching opportunities are available. All investigator-initiated clinical trials at Moffitt include a radiologist as co-investigator. The Imaging Research program receives about $7 million per year in NIH funding and includes 1400 sq. ft. of wet lab space, a full animal imaging suite, and sophisticated image analytic and mathematical modeling capabilities. Dedicated academic time is provided and PhD-level scientists are employed by the department to assist the clinical faculty in their research efforts.

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree.
  • Florida medical license or eligibility for one.
  • Board certified in Nuclear Radiology/Nuclear Medicine or eligibility.
  • Completed fellowship in Radiology subspecialty area.
