About The Position

As a Nuclear Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for specific activities related to the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of the Westinghouse Quality Management System, including Project Quality Plans and implementing procedures. Additional responsibilities may include performing surveillances of specific project activities, including design control, control of external providers, and construction activities. You will report to the will report to the manager - Quality Assurance and work a hybrid schedule located in either Cranberry, PA or Rock Hill, SC.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of nuclear quality assurance experience
  • Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance regulations, codes, and standards required, including: • ISO 9001 and 19443, • 10CFR50 Appendix B, • ASME NQA-1, • ASME Section III B&PV Code, • 10CFR21, and comparable international regulations
  • Application of Nuclear Safety Culture and Human Performance principles
  • Application of engineering, manufacturing, fabrication and testing work processes
  • Lead audits within 24 months

Responsibilities

  • Help implement the Westinghouse Quality Management System, project quality plans, and project procedures for APX projects.
  • Assure project team is adequately trained in project requirements and implementing procedures.
  • Work with engineering, supply chain, and project management to support APX projects.
  • Maintain compliance with the Westinghouse Quality Management System for project execution.
  • Promote a mature and healthy Nuclear Safety Culture and Safety Conscious Work Environment.
  • Guide safe, error free performance through active use and promotion of Human Performance tools and organizational learning.
  • Communicate and implement quality assurance best practices through continuous improvement.
  • Ensure rigorous programmatic oversight of specified activities.
  • Recommend and implement solutions to quality problems, corrective and preventive actions, and ensure solutions are communicated and implemented to appropriate team members.
