Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and six years of experience in mechanical, electrical or instrumentation and controls, engineering, project management or construction management, inclusive of three years of nuclear industry experience; OR
  • Associate's Degree and eight years of experience in mechanical, electrical or instrumentation and controls, engineering, project management or construction management, inclusive of five years of nuclear industry experience; OR
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent and ten years of experience in mechanical, electrical or instrumentation and controls, engineering, project management or construction management, inclusive of seven years of nuclear industry experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration, engineering or a related field of study.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP).
  • Nuclear power plant experience with a craft background or experience working with skilled trades.
  • Knowledge of nuclear regulatory requirements, standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Security Safeguards and critical digital asset requirements.
  • Knowledge of NERC-CIP requirements, standards, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple multi-year nuclear construction, security, engineering and facility capital projects.
  • Coordinates project activities including the scope of work, scheduling, estimating and engineering.
  • Manages cost and schedule forecasting, scope, budget, quality and schedule change control.
  • Manages communications, nuclear safety, Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) risk, risk management, scope verification, and information distribution during project development & implementation.
  • Ensures compliance with safety, environmental, security, NERC-CIP, and nuclear regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for project expenditures, the procurement of nuclear equipment and materials.
  • Provides daily management of on-site activities, working with the general contractor or multiple contractors and service providers.
  • Coordinates with Supply Chain Management in conducting bid meetings and reviews, supplier selections and evaluations.
  • Integrates project activities with project stakeholders.
  • Identifies, assesses, and implements improvement or recovery opportunities.
  • Ensures compliance to all nuclear quality assurance (NQA) documentation and record keeping requirements.
