Pharmacy Operations at Cardinal Health is responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective coordination of pharmacy operations servicing acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices, and retail customers. Nuclear Pharmacy specifically provides radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs to medical care providers, adhering to highly regulated State and Federal guidelines, and may consult with or advise physicians and nuclear medicine technologists on the safe and efficacious use of radioactive drugs for diagnosis and therapy. The Pharmacist II, Nuclear, through effective leadership and coordination with a team of direct reports, manages, facilitates, and oversees the day-to-day operations of the nuclear pharmacy. This role requires a licensed nuclear pharmacist who has completed all necessary training. The position is responsible for optimizing pharmacy operations and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient delivery, control costs, minimize waste, maximize customer satisfaction, and deliver positive patient outcomes, all while maintaining compliance with Federal and state regulatory agencies. Additionally, the role involves managing inventory, processing orders, compounding patient-specific doses of drugs, and directing a team of drivers for medication delivery after quality testing.
