About The Position

As a Nuclear Operations intern, you will work on the new generation of reactors like the AP300 SMR and eVinci microreactor, the new fleet of AP1000® and the operating fleet from all over the world. Building your skills based on actual operating plant experience in the field, combined with new plant development, will be a major accelerator for your career in the nuclear industry. You will report to the Engineering Manager and be located at our Cranberry location. This is a paid, full-time, hybrid summer internship.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree or master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Other engineering majors holding a Reactor Operator license at a university reactor will be considered.
• Minimum GPA 3.0+.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Acquire knowledge about integrated plant operations to develop the way control room operators run plants with operating procedures.
• Work with industry professionals who will teach you the technical and professional aspects of working in the nuclear industry.
• Support technology development for incore instrumentation, reactivity computers and other testing equipment.
