Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST to join our team! Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist administers radioactive materials to perform imaging and dynamic function studies necessary to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of illnesses. Prepares radioactive isotopes, operates Nuclear Imaging, and performs a variety of nuclear tests. Complies with performance measures/activities to assure that patient/customer satisfaction results are consistently maintained. Complies with and participates in maintaining an environment which supports our philosophy, mission, and values.

  • Administer radioactive materials for imaging and dynamic function studies.
  • Prepare radioactive isotopes and operate Nuclear Imaging equipment.
  • Perform a variety of nuclear tests.
  • Ensure compliance with performance measures to maintain patient/customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in maintaining a supportive environment aligned with the organization's mission and values.
  • Graduation from a formal Nuclear Medicine program approved by ARRT or NMTCB.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience in nuclear medicine imaging preferred.
  • ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and nuclear techniques, procedures, and equipment.
  • Demonstrate mature judgment and decision-making abilities with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding department operations and interactions.
