This position performs a variety of procedures utilizing nuclear medicine, mobile nuclear medicine and PET/CT equipment. Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of Nuclear Medicine and/or Radiological Technology required.
  • Current Montana Radiological Technology License as required by law.
  • A minimum of one (1) of the following certifications required: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) Registered in Nuclear Medicine NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) and/or ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or must be successfully obtained within eighteen (18) months of hire.
  • Current CPR preferred or must be successfully obtained during orientation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy required.
  • To be eligible for the Mobile Nuclear Medicine Driving portion of the position: Must possess Montana CDL Class B License or above to drive Mobile Nuclear Medicine Unit.
  • Must possess a good driving record clear of moving violations in the past five (5) years and no major driving offenses (DUI, convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three (3) or more speeding tickets or other moving violations, etc.).
  • In addition, personal vehicles/rental cars used for LH business: Current Driver’s License required.
  • Driving record for the previous thirty-six (36) months must not reflect any, Major driving offenses (i.e.; DUI, convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three (3) or more speeding tickets or other moving violations, etc.) State law minimum liability coverage limits required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Performs Nuclear Medicine, Mobile Nuclear Medicine (NM) and PET/CT procedures.
  • Participates and coordinates patient care and flow.
  • Greets and escorts patients from inside the medical facility to the mobile vehicle.
  • Assists patients on/off the vehicle as needed.
  • Uses mechanical lift when necessary.
  • Maintains understanding of and follows current exam protocols.
  • Maintains accountability to technologist competency and quality control standards.
  • Assists with maintaining and ordering supply stock as directed.
  • Exhibits knowledge and ability to operate/troubleshoot equipment on mobile NM vehicle, including network communications.
  • Maintains equipment and coordinates repairs and service as needed or directed.
  • Prepares the mobile vehicle for patient care.
  • Stocks vehicle with appropriate supplies for necessary procedures.
  • Prepares examination room for use.
  • Readies the devices for the day by setting up and powering on the computers, printers, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Driver job duties as appropriate with qualifications and training.
  • May be required to drive the mobile unit in special situations.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.
