About The Position

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals to evaluate organ function and structure, primarily for cardiac and radiology-related studies. This role requires technical expertise, attention to safety protocols, and compassionate patient care.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
  • Current certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or ARRT (N)
  • State licensure as required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of nuclear medicine experience

Nice To Haves

  • cardiac imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images for cardiac and other organ studies.
  • Perform stress tests and cardiac imaging under physician supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Educate patients about procedures, safety precautions, and post-test instructions.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret and deliver results.
  • Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions promptly.
