Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
- Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine ARRT (N) Required
- Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT) Required Or
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
- Licensed Nuclear Medical Technologist Required
- Vocational School Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree Preferred
- Customer Service Experience
- Radioactive Material Experience
- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations
- Experience working in a hospital setting
Responsibilities
- Administer radioactive medications to patients and perform nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging procedures
- Operate nuclear medicine equipment to capture images and assist physicians in diagnosing disease
- Ensure compliance with Florida Radiation Control/Radioactive Materials regulations
- Maintain patient safety by minimizing radiation exposure to patients, self, and staff
- Prepare, calibrate, and sterilize syringes and supplies for imaging procedures
- Educate and prepare patients for scans and provide compassionate, professional care
- Complete accurate imaging reports and contribute to quality patient outcomes
