Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
  • Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine ARRT (N) Required
  • Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT) Required Or
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
  • Licensed Nuclear Medical Technologist Required
  • Vocational School Required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree Preferred
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Radioactive Material Experience
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations
  • Experience working in a hospital setting

Responsibilities

  • Administer radioactive medications to patients and perform nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment to capture images and assist physicians in diagnosing disease
  • Ensure compliance with Florida Radiation Control/Radioactive Materials regulations
  • Maintain patient safety by minimizing radiation exposure to patients, self, and staff
  • Prepare, calibrate, and sterilize syringes and supplies for imaging procedures
  • Educate and prepare patients for scans and provide compassionate, professional care
  • Complete accurate imaging reports and contribute to quality patient outcomes
