Job Summary: The Nuclear Medicine Specialist performs invivo studies and therapeutic and diagnostic imaging procedures according to written or transcribed verbal orders of a physician within the scope of his/her certification according to established standards and practices under the direction of the Imaging Services Supervisor, manager, and Radiology Medical Director. Demonstrates competency for neonate, infant, toddler, pre-school, school age, adolescent, adult, and late adulthood patients. Primary responsibility resides in the daily and comprehensive operations of a single-technologist department. Administrative tasks assigned this position include, but are not limited to, participation in CQI activities, Radiation Safety Committee, limited staff evaluation process, policy and procedure updates, various report development. Other duties assigned/approved by the Imaging Supervisor, Manager, and Medical Director.
