About The Position

Southwoods Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team.

Requirements

  • ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB registered.
  • Valid Nuclear Medicine license in the State of Ohio.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

  • Perform various nuclear medicine examinations, including PET/CT scans, in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Ensure strict adherence to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards.
  • Protect patients and staff from excess radiation during the injection phase and the CT portion of scans using appropriate shielding and protective devices.
  • Test, monitor, and maintain equipment—such as scanners, dose calibrators, and survey instruments—to ensure proper working conditions and calibration.
  • Communicate effectively with patients about their status and procedures, maintaining a calm and professional environment.
  • Accurately document all records and QC data, ensuring compliance with ODH, OSHA, and the Ohio Revised Code.
  • Follow sterile principles when preparing and administering radiopharmaceutical agents.
