About The Position

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs all aspects of nuclear medicine imaging and procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality diagnostic outcomes. This role includes preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, assisting radiologists, and maintaining compliance with state and federal radiation safety standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine program (or equivalent).
  • Certified by ARRT(N) or NMTCB.
  • Licensed by the State of New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging.
  • Skilled in computer use, data entry, and workflow prioritization.
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of general diagnostic nuclear medicine experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review patient medical information and reconcile with physician orders.
  • Prepare, administer, and monitor isotopes following department protocols.
  • Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine studies (cardiac, orthopedic, abdominal, lung, etc.).
  • Monitor and maintain “Hot Lab” per state guidelines for safe handling, receiving, and disposal of radioactive materials.
  • Assist radiologists with invasive procedures when needed.
  • Operate RIS, PACS, and scheduling systems with proficiency.
  • Complete quality control procedures and ensure high-quality imaging for interpretation.
  • Provide compassionate, respectful care while protecting patient confidentiality.
  • Adhere to ALARA principles and use radiation safety equipment effectively.
