About The Position
A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support offsite nuclear medicine operations. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring equipment readiness, and delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with established policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and safety standards
- Ability to work independently and maintain organized lab operations
- BLS (AHA required)
- ARRT – Radiologic Technologist certification
- NMTCB – Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage nuclear medicine laboratory functions
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures in compliance with clinical protocols and safety regulations
- Conduct testing and quality checks on nuclear medicine equipment
- Educate patients and family members regarding procedures and expectations
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety guidelines and departmental policies
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in the medical record
- Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach to care delivery
