About The Position

Under the direction of a radiologist, performs nuclear scans at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA-approved school of Nuclear Medicine.
  • 3 years experience as a registered nuclear medicine technologist in an acute care hospital.
  • Preferably registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and State License through the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control is mandatory.
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Venipuncture certification preferred.
  • Cross-trained in other radiology modalities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Orders all isotopes as needed for studies which are pending.
  • Maintains equipment and hot lab according to state and federal regulations.
  • Performs all QC procedures.
  • Maintains radiation safety badges and logs.
  • Cross-trained in other radiology modalities preferred.
  • Will also follow the principles and guidelines as set forth by the American College of Radiology.
  • Other duties as assigned.
