About The Position

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: Days (United States of America) Work Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm + on call (Sat/Sun only from 7:00am – 4:30pm every10th weekend) Work Location: Roper Hospital (Downtown Charleston) and possible minimal floating for orientation and coverage purposes. Preferred: Dual-Licensure in Nuclear Medicine and CT preferred Job Summary: Following established protocol and under the medical supervision of certified radiologists, nuclear medicine technologists will perform procedures for the direct results of interpretation. Technologists will assist the radiologists on procedures as needed and be responsible for supervision of student Radiologic Technologists assigned to them. Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professionals.
  • Experience: None.
  • Licensure/Certification: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
  • Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
  • Certified or documentation that certification has been applied for with the SCRQSA.

  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to perform and teach Nuclear Medicine exams to produce satisfactory diagnostic images for interpretation.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA and TJC standards and regulations.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Requires a mature individual who projects a professional and business-like appearance.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality of work related information.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for safe operation of Nuclear Medicine and post processing equipment.
