About The Position

The Nuclear Medicine Tech works under the supervision of the Director, Associate Director, Manager, and Lead Technologist in the Radiology Department. Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures, provides patient services using imaging modalities, applies principles of radiation protection, and evaluates images for technical quality. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures, provides patient care essential to imaging procedures. This position works under the supervision of the Director, Assistant Team Leader, and Lead Technologist in the Radiology Department and is employed by Mosaic Health System.

Requirements

• Completion of approved program in Nuclear Medicine is required.
• CNMT - Must obtain Nuclear Medicine registry upon hire.
• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Nuclear Medicine upon hire.
• BLS and valid driver's license are required.
• Six months experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret a provider's instructions.
• Prepare patients for procedures.
• Select imaging parameters.
• View images from an imaging session and keep records of the results.
• Review and complete patient exam and charges within the radiology information system.
