About The Position

Under direct supervision, performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. Prepares pharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Applies principle of radiation protection. Calibrates radiation detection equipment. Exercises professional judgment in performance of service. Provides patient care.

Requirements

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Nuclear Medicine Technologist from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certificate from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
• Nuclear Medical Technologist Certificate (California).
• Basic Life Support within 4 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Two (2) years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine technologist in a major medical center.
• Knowledge of Marconi, GE, and Siemens equipment.

• Provides effective, functional direction to assigned staff.
• Maintains standards of professional behavior established to enhance quality of service.
• Demonstrates good communication skills.
• Maintains equipment, supplies and work area in accordance with department guidelines.
