About The Position

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist – PET/CT performs diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging procedures using specialized equipment to support accurate clinical diagnosis and patient care. This role works closely with radiologists, physicians, and the care team to deliver high-quality imaging while ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and excellent patient experience. The position supports both PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine, with potential rotation between modalities. Join our team as an Nuclear Medicine Technologist PET/CT Technologist! Schedule: Monday–Friday 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week On-call rotation (nights/weekends) Holiday rotation required

Requirements

  • Current License in state of practice.
  • Clinical Board Certification, i.e. American Registry Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Basic Life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • IV certification for healthcare providers.
  • One year of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of clinical PET/CT experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • PET/CT, Cardiac, and Oncology training preferred.
  • Nuclear Medicine training required; position may rotate between PET/CT and NM.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ARRT and/or modality-specific clinical and technical competency.
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT exams per protocol and verify image quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, exam preparation, education, comfort, and safety.
  • Follow radiation safety standards and regulations (NRC, Division of Radiation Control, and other governing agencies).
  • Operate imaging equipment and related information systems effectively.
  • Complete studies within expected timeframes without compromising quality.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and quality control logs per regulatory requirements.
  • Assist and instruct students or other technologists as appropriate.
