The Nuclear Medicine Technologist I assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the nuclear medicine equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans. Requirements

  • 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred
  • Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required
  • Minimum of one year of experience in nuclear medicine, preferred
  • Certified and registered in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT or NMTCB - RT(N) or CNMT, required
  • IV Credentialed, required
  • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required
  • Applicable state license, required

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing
  • Good communication skills
  • Capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms
  • Working knowledge of various types of nuclear medicine equipment
  • Able to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to age of patient served
  • Has ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age-specific needs
