Performs imaging studies that use nuclear medicine in order to accurately diagnose patient condition in a professional and caring manner. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist, who reports to the Supervisor of Nuclear Medicine or the Director of PET Imaging, administers radioactive materials for clinical imaging and therapeutic purposes, maintains supplies, observes and adheres to radiation safety guidelines, and performs all regulatory radiation surveying and package monitoring to avoid waste and ensure the conservation of all valuable hospital equipment. Other duties include performing radio pharmacy duties to ensure continuity of services, contributing to student education and supervision, and participating in educational and continuous quality improvement programs in order to promote the provision of quality patient care services by the department. may require
