About The Position

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, your diagnostic imaging specialty plays a pivotal role in providing top quality patient care. Through your expertise, utilizing specialized equipment, radioactive materials and innovative procedures, we are able to achieve accurate diagnoses, which is vital in the creation of treatment plans for our patients. Participates in on call, weekend and holiday schedules. Is able to perform Regional Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Support at Multiple contract sites as a contract Technologist. Assists in Clinical instruction for Radiology and Nursing students in the field of Nuclear Medicine. Mains patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from newborn to elderly. We are all about our team members growth and health. Requirements

CNMT or ARRT(N) certification required
Licensed by the State of Maine as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification or Due within one month of expiration required.
Current DOT HAZMAT training certificate renewable every three years.
Basic computer knowledge.
Excellent Customer Service Skills.
Ability to prioritize and use critical thinking skills.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Effectively communicate with patients and co-workers in a supportive and tactful manner.
Ability to remain calm in a busy or stressful situation.
Represent the organization in a positive manner, support and encourages strong morale within the team and maintain effective, professional relationships with others.

Responsibilities

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares, measures and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in diagnostic and therapeutic studies.
Performs and assists with nuclear medicine and PET/CT Exams.
Is Responsible for direct patient safety and following all procedural protocols.
Maintains all federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements.
Maintains all Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) and American College of Radiology ( ACR ) accreditation requirements.
Assists in Clinical instruction for Radiology and Nursing students in the field of Nuclear Medicine.
Maintains patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from newborn to elderly.
