About The Position

Nuclear Medicine Technologist II will assist in the organization, supervision and training activities of the technical operation.

Requirements

• Completion of a nuclear medicine technologist training program OR Completion of radiologic technologist training program with NMTCB or ARRT(N).
• ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire OR NMT-Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Upon Hire
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider within 60 Days of hire
• RHN-Radiologic Health Nuclear Medicine (Department of Public Health) (required if working in California)
• Sound understanding of anatomical positioning
• Demonstrates the ability to analyze difficult situations, react properly and interact effectively with the departments medical, technical and clerical staff
• Demonstrates commitment to service excellence and problem ownership
• Manages and communicates confidential patient information
• In strict conformance with departmental and SMCSR HlPAA policy
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Assist with patient/procedure scheduling
• Explains nature of exam to patients to ensure cooperation

Nice To Haves

• One year experience in an acute care hospital is preferred, which may include clinical hours during technologist training program.
• 3-5 years clinical nuclear medicine experience.
