JOB DESCRIPTION: The Nuclear Medicine Medical Assistant (NM-MA) assists the Nuclear Medicine team in conducting patient exams by assisting in the clerical and non-technical and non-exposure technical aspects of the exam. The NM-MA is responsible for assisting the Nuclear Medicine team in many functions including, but not limited to: -Ordering Radiopharmaceuticals -Starting IVs -Pre-visit planning -utilizing the department computer systems (PACS, EPIC, KRONOS etc.) -Rooming patients -Stocking and restocking rooms -Answering phones -Cleaning rooms, equipment -Scheduling exams -Processing exams -preparing for regulatory and hospital audits Hours: While shift hours are planned to be 9am-1pm, Monday-Friday, we are offering flexible scheduling within that timeframe. EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent. LNA or comparable medical experience preferred. This position requires verification of your high school diploma.
