About The Position

Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to provide high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists and physicians. Operate and maintain cameras designed to detect and map radioactive drugs within a patient's body for diagnostic image creation. Accurately position patients and select the necessary anatomic and technical factors for image acquisition. Manage radiopharmaceuticals by ordering, preparing, administering, and disposing of them according to established protocols. Adhere strictly to all radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Ensure prompt submission of all images and supporting documents to PACS, verifying high image quality, correct use of lead markers, and accurate patient data/history. Ensure equipment is fully operational. Report any potential problems or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel and follow proper lock-out/tag-out procedures when necessary. Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department environment. Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to Nuclear Medicine. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
