Under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Team Leader, and/or radiologist(s), performs a variety of high quality diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures as well as PET/CT procedures. Must be able to function independently and as part of a medical imaging team, and be available for emergency on-call duties as related to Nuclear Medicine. This position requires proficiency in compounding radiopharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals in accordance with USP 825 regulations, on site in the Nuclear Medicine Department. Under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Team Leader, and/or radiologist(s), performs high quality diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Performs all Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT procedures and assists with specialized tasks. Performs quality control on all Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT equipment. This position requires proficiency in compounding radiopharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals in accordance with USP 825 regulations, on site in the Nuclear Medicine Department. The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients seen in the Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Department. The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the units policies and procedures.
