Job Summary: Competently performs standard, specialty and complex Nuclear Medicine procedures with little or no supervision, utilizing radio pharmaceuticals with accuracy, producing quality studies under a variety of conditions. Prepares radio pharmaceuticals for administration to the patient. Performs venipuncture and catheterization duties as needed. Sound knowledge and understanding of anatomy, physiology and Nuclear Medicine principals. Performs quality control procedures to ensure federal, state, and departmental standards/requirements are met. Assists in monitoring the daily quality assurance of the unit, while ensuring the equipment is operating according to manufacturer's specifications. Assists in the identification and resolution of work process issues within the department. Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care.
