As a Nuclear Medicine Tech at CHI St Vincent, you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. Every day you will collaborate with the Imaging team as well as other multi-disciplinary teams on the nursing units, and you play a huge role in the diagnosis of illness and patient care. A Nuclear Medicine Technologist is a direct care provider who can work in a fast paced, high volume patient care environment. You are efficient, compassionate, and absolutely dedicated to providing excellent care. In this role, you will perform a variety of scans of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information. You will operate Nuclear Medicine equipment to produce images that measure concentration of radioactive isotopes in specific body areas. You are dedicated to patient safety and you always use precision and practice proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed. To be successful in this role, you have equal parts technical knowledge in all aspects of your job, but you also show compassion to those that trust themselves in our care.
