Position Summary Located on the downtown Orlando campus, Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) has served the Central Florida area for more than 100 years. Nuclear medicine technologists are direct patient caregivers. They perform dose preparation and administration functions for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purpose; perform patient procedures, process and enhance images, and prepare images for interpreting physician to view. Schedule: Monday through Friday; 9:00am to 5:30pm

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Must meet ONE of the following in totality: Maintains current certification as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) -OR The job description statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Page 2 of 3 Maintains current certification as an (ARRT) (N) American Registry of Radiology Technologists in Nuclear Medicine
• Must meet ALL of the following: Maintains current Florida State License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
• None.
• Must have knowledge of Nuclear Medicine equipment, procedures and radiation safety.

Responsibilities

• Performs Diagnostic nuclear medicine, therapeutic nuclear medicine, PET scanning, cardiac stress lab treadmill functions radiopharmacy functions as required.
• Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care.
• Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
• Adheres to policy, procedures, protocols, and mission statements.
• Performs all nuclear medicine dynamic, static and functional procedures required by specific studies.
• Performs SPECT and SPECT CT imaging as required by guidelines or physician order.
• Preps and performs treadmill functions in the performance of diagnostic studies as required.
