If dual certified as RT(CT) or NMTCB(CT), perform diagnostic CT imaging per guidelines or physician order. Exercise professional judgment in all services, maintaining a demeanor that supports quality care. Deliver appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures. Adhere to Orlando Health mission statements and strategic imperatives. Conduct all nuclear medicine dynamic, static, and functional procedures required for specific studies. Perform SPECT and SPECT CT imaging per guidelines or physician order. Perform PET imaging on a rotational basis as outlined in written procedures or directed by interpreting physician. Complete all computer acquisition, processing, and documentation as required. Perform quality control on all Nuclear Medicine instrumentation per written procedures or manufacturer guidelines. Order and administer radiopharmaceuticals, including positron emitters, as required. Maintain records in compliance with Florida Department of Health, Radiation Control. Perform all safety checks as outlined by the Florida Department of Health, Radiation Control. Perform venipuncture and evaluate IV access for radiopharmaceutical and medication administration as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. If dual certified, may also administer contrast per guidelines or physician order. Prepare radiopharmaceutical doses, calculate exact patient dosages as required by law, and maintain records. Assist in the administration of therapeutic radioactive materials with an authorized user. Participate in the corporate ALARA Radiation Safety Program. Ensure safety of all customers. Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and applicable federal, state, and local standards. Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies, department guidelines, and education requirements. Qualifications Education / Training Graduate of an approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology. Licensure / Certification Must meet ONE of the following: Current certification as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR Current certification as an (ARRT) (N) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine Must meet ALL of the following: Current Florida State License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification Experience No prior experience required. Must have knowledge of Nuclear Medicine equipment, procedures, and radiation safety.

  • Must meet ONE of the following: Current certification as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR Current certification as an (ARRT) (N) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine
  • Must meet ALL of the following: Current Florida State License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
