About The Position

This is a PRN position where the individual will accurately, timely, and efficiently perform moderate and highly complex Nuclear Medicine patient exams and provide patient care within the scope of Nuclear Medicine. The role involves maintaining quality control on nuclear equipment and ensuring compliance with state and federal agencies. The individual will consistently follow hospital and department guidelines for patient identification and safety, maintain licensure and continuing education requirements, and take responsibility for self-development while supporting the learning environment of the hospital and the department of Imaging. Administrative skills are also necessary to contribute to the successful operation of the department by entering and completing correct billing codes in the RIS and on patient billing sheets. Collaboration with co-workers and staff is essential to ensure that assignments are completed in a professional and effective manner, while displaying a commitment to the hospital's mission and values. The position requires providing age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics. Additional responsibilities include performing other duties as assigned, complying with all policies and standards, and maintaining the confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI).

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA approved program in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • 1+ years experience in Nuclear Medicine (preferred).
  • Effective organizational, written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of various equipment.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • R.T. American Registry of Radiological Technologists in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT-N) and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Licensed by the state of Ohio.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
