About The Position
Nuclear Medicine / PET CT Technologist Full Time,Days Performs Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation. Provides patient care throughout the exam process while maintaining radiation safety standards and regulatory compliance. Serves neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
Requirements
- Associate degree required
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
- Less than one year experience required
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification required
- Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy license required
- Advanced ARRT and/or CNMT Registry required
- BLS required within 30 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging procedures
- Ensure image quality and accurate documentation in EHR and PACS
- Maintain radiation safety standards and follow ALARA principles
- Perform quality control on equipment and maintain regulatory records
- Monitor patients during exams and perform venipuncture as needed
- Assist radiologists and authorized providers during procedures
