The hours for this position are below: Monday, 11am-9:30pm @ Melrose Tuesday, 8:30am-7pm @ Anna Jacques Wednesday, 10:30am-8pm @ Emerson Thursday, 7am-5:30pm @ South Shore Job Description: What you will do Follow all Shields Health Care Group policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times. Follow rules and regulations established by the NRC, state regulatory agencies, and JCAHO. Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding. Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of Radioactive Isotopes in specific body areas and body products. Performs all hot lab responsibilities. Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards. Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort. Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam. Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam. Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program. Provide and issue films when appropriate. Forward PET related data to Radiologist upon completion of exam. Refilm cases as time allows Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise. Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed. Additional Job Description: Pay range for this position is $32 - $60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. It is not intended that this Job Description include all details of the work functions of this position. The incumbent will perform work of a lower or equivalent classification as required or directed, and work of higher classification for training and development purposes or as situationally warranted. Requirements

  • Must possess a state license for the state(s) in which he/she is employed to work
  • Must be certified in CPR
  • Must be registered by the ARRT and/or NMTCB.
  • A minimum of one-year prior nuclear medicine experience is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must be proficient in starting IVs.
  • Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
