A brighter future is possible with you . Job Summary We are currently seeking a Nuclear Engineering & Technology Research Intern for Summer 2026 (May 18 – early Aug). This position can be Remote or preferrably Onsite/Hybrid in Columbus, OH. This role provides the intern with exposure to multiple projects that range from deep technical research regarding nuclear sensors, model development supporting nuclear reactor technology, and risk program development for nuclear industry providers. No relocation assistance provided as this internship can be done remotely from any US location. The application deadline is February 12, 2026.

Requirements

  • Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering. Science-related degrees like Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry may also be considered.
  • Must have at least two years of undergraduate coursework completed by the start of the internship. Graduate student applicants must have an engineering or other technical degree while seeking a technical or non-technical graduate degree. Graduate students with technical undergraduate degrees are welcome.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
  • Self-motivated and a quick learner.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully work independently or as part of a larger team.
  • Must be US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Although technical backgrounds are mandatory, candidates with interests in economic and regulatory topics will be strongly considered.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and provide design solutions for a variety of technical challenges within the nuclear power generation industry.
  • Gain exposure to a diverse range of topics that may include material sciences, instrumentation and control, cybersecurity, physical security, regulation and compliance, and economics.
  • Draft white papers, presentations, and other related products to document work findings.
  • Must be willing to attend meetings and discussions during regular working hours in a virtual manner from a safe location.
  • Must be able work in a hybrid or completely remote, independent environment that is free of distractions.
