This position is for a Reactor Engineer at Turkey Point. Engineers in this role are responsible for core and fuel performance monitoring and calculations, spent fuel management and special nuclear material accountability. Candidates should have experience with industry computational tools and be familiar with nuclear standards and regulations. This position will have the opportunity to feed into a Senior Reactor Operator position after a completion of the rotational assignment as Reactor Engineer and eligibility requirements are met.Job OverviewThis job supports the project and operational work of senior engineers. Employees in this role perform fundamental engineering tasks that require the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Individuals participate in the engineering analysis and evaluation process and test solutions to solve problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's - Engineering
• Experience: 0+ years
• Entry level job requiring comprehension of engineering principles, theory, and their application to power plant systems, components, and structures
• Knowledge of assigned Engineering specialty

Responsibilities

• Performs fundamental engineering activities that require the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria
• Participates in the analysis and evaluation of engineering problems
• Prepares design change and technical evaluation research for review
• Develops test activity to evaluate recommended solutions and analyzes data for result inconsistencies
• Coordinates Engineering activities with other Engineering departments and with other company departments
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
