The University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Coordinator for Nuclear Energy Programs to support the operations of the programs. Reporting to the Institute Director, this position will provide logistical, operational, and administrative support for ongoing programs, stakeholder meetings, and outreach activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing schedules, supporting events, maintaining records, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of a high-impact, multi-institutional initiative in nuclear energy and workforce development.

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, workshops, and events related to the Nuclear Energy Roadmap.
  • Coordinate calendars, travel arrangements, reimbursements, and documentation for Institute activities.
  • Assist in maintaining databases of partners, sponsors, and participants.
  • Support project reporting and basic budget tracking under the guidance of the Director.
  • Assist with preparation of communication materials, newsletters, and web updates.
  • Help coordinate student interns and part-time assistants supporting Institute operations.
  • Provide clerical assistance for proposal submission and grant documentation.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for general inquiries related to nuclear programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in office administration, coordination, or program support.
  • High school graduate or GED/equivalent with demonstrated additional experience (minimum 5 years) may be considered.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online meeting tools (Zoom, Teams).
  • Experience in higher education, research administration, or energy-related programs.
  • Familiarity with basic budget tracking and event coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
