About The Position

The Nuclear Designer Energy position at AtkinsRéalis is a hybrid/remote role based out of the Richland, WA office. This role is integral to the company's mission of building a better world through innovative design and engineering solutions. The designer will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop 3D mechanical design models and drawings, ensuring safety and compliance with company policies. Requirements

  • Associate degree in CAD or related subject, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of SolidWorks 3D required.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical design.
  • Advanced knowledge of new facility design or facility upgrades highly desired.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Revit Architecture and Structure highly desired.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in nuclear design projects.
  • Familiarity with project management software.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations related to nuclear energy.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all work safely, ensuring that safety is an integral element embodied in equipment design and specification.
  • Develops documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Works with the engineering team in the development of 3D mechanical design models and drawings.
  • Selects hardware and materials as required by the Project, with guidance from engineers.
  • Develops and maintains red-line documents (ECN's, FCN's etc.).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
